Fraudulent Transaction and Chargeback Thresholds

The following fraudulent transactions and Chargeback thresholds will apply to you based on the level of your risk that we assign to you in our reasonable opinion. We may update these thresholds from time to time, and, where appropriate, we may specify individual thresholds to you as part of our risk mitigation measures under the Agreement.

Standard Thresholds

Merchant Category Thresholds

VISA

Category 1

<1,000 successful inbound VISA Transactions processed

  • The total number of registered fraudulent Transactions and chargebacks in the present month – equal to or more than 20
  • Percentage ratio of (i) registered fraudulent Transactions number plus the number of chargebacks, divided by (ii) the total number of successful inbound Transactions in the present month – equal to or more than 2.0%

Category 2

1,000–10,000 successful inbound VISA Transactions processed

  • The total number of registered fraudulent Transactions and chargebacks in the present month – equal to or more than 50
  • Percentage ratio of (i) registered fraudulent Transactions number plus the number of chargebacks, divided by (ii) the total number of successful inbound Transactions in the present month – equal to or more than 1.5%

Category 3

>10,000 successful inbound VISA Transactions processed

  • The total number of registered fraudulent Transactions and chargebacks in the present month – equal to or more than 100
  • Percentage ratio of (i) registered fraudulent Transactions number plus the number of chargebacks, divided by (ii) the total number of successful inbound Transactions in the present month – equal to or more than 1.2%

  • Total number of chargebacks in the present month – equal to or more than 70
  • Total number of chargebacks in the present month – equal to or more than 70

Category 2

1,000–10,000 successful inbound VISA Transactions processed

  • The total number of registered fraudulent Transactions and chargebacks in the present month – equal to or more than 50
  • Percentage ratio of (i) registered fraudulent Transactions number plus the number of chargebacks, divided by (ii) the total number of successful inbound Transactions in the present month – equal to or more than 1.0%

>10,000 successful inbound VISA Transactions processed

  • The total number of registered fraudulent Transactions and chargebacks in the present month – equal to or more than 100
  • Percentage ratio of (i) registered fraudulent Transactions number plus the number of chargebacks, divided by (ii) the total number of successful inbound Transactions in the present month – equal to or more than 0.8%
