Business Development Officer

The Role

The successful candidate will be involved in, amongst others:

  • Developing the market and acquiring new contacts / leads.
  • Visiting customers / merchants / leads on a casual / daily basis promoting /soliciting the company’s services.
  • Increase the awareness and clientele of the company.
  • Conduct DD and KYC gathering for the customer / merchant applications.
  • Maintaining relations with existing or potential customers / merchants.
  • Scheduling and booking business meetings.
  • Holding and updating daily performance, target data, as well as assisting in marketing activities coordination.
  • Ensuring that successful leads are smoothly converted into e-accounts / merchants with the Customer Service Unit of the Company, completing customer / merchant application package.
  • Reporting to the BD Management Team the findings and progress of the business development activities on a daily / weekly basis, or as otherwise instructed by the Management.
  • Ensuring smooth e-accounts / merchants onboarding procedure.

Requirements

  • Undergraduate and/or Postgraduate degrees in Business Administration or related disciplines will be considered an advantage.
  • At least five (5) years of business development / customer service professional experience in the banking / corporate / and payment processing industry. Any previous experience in acquiring services will be considered an advantage.
  • Ability to work effectively in a team environment.
  • Ability to work well under pressure.
  • Strong report writing analytical skills.
  • Strong organisational skills and attention to detail.
  • Strong business acumen and commercial awareness.
  • Strong multitasking, troubleshooting and problem solving skills.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Strong computer literacy, including Microsoft Word, Excel, Power Point.
  • Excellent command of the Greek and English Languages, both verbal and written. Good command of the Russian and/or Israeli Languages will be considered an advantage.
